Louisiana Railway & Navigation Co.
On June 22, 1903 LR&N purchased from the Shreveport and Red River Valley Railway Company a partially constructed branch line from
Aloha to Winnfield, about 27 miles, together with certain spur and other tracks. The Louisiana Central Construction Company,
completed the line in December, 1906.
R&N tracks ran north to Hodge and Jonesborow.
The LR&N owned a bridge over the Red river but would not allow the L&A to cross it. The Rock Island that ran over the L&A was
however allowed to cross the bridge.
